Our Story – King of the Flaps

It all started with Darren. With over 20 years of experience as a skilled metal fabricator and a lifetime spent on the farm, Darren knows farming inside and out. Growing up surrounded by tractors, machinery, and the daily challenges of agricultural life, he developed a deep understanding of what farmers truly need.

Through his involvement in the family's successful agricultural contracting company, Darren saw firsthand the wear and tear that tractors and towed equipment endure. Mud, dirt, and debris were constant frustrations. He thought to himself: there has to be a better way to keep machinery cleaner and better protected.

So, he got to work. Using the latest CAD and CAE software, Darren ran countless simulations to design the perfect mud flap. But farming is never straightforward, and neither was the process. Designs were tested, tweaked, and tested again. Here in Cavan, development trials are ongoing, with modifications added or removed depending on how they perform in real‑world conditions.

The mud flaps you see today are the result of that relentless pursuit of improvement. Built tough and tested in some of the harshest environments, they are now successfully in use across Ireland and throughout Europe — with ambitions to reach even further afield very soon.
